Support The Arts With Your Time & Passion ... Volunteer!
In order to continue to build a premiere arts festival in North Fulton County, we‘re looking for a core group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. Hundreds of volunteers – from teenagers to adults – have supported Arts On The Creek. Students earn community service hours for school and other organizations. And everyone has a great time while making arts a vibrant part of Johns Creek!
There are two types of AOTC volunteers:

• Day-of volunteers who donate a few hours during the festival.
Serve As A Day-Of Volunteer
To become a day-of volunteer, please read the descriptions below and follow the links to choose a team where you would like to serve and a convenient shift(s). Team assignments are available on a first come, first serve basis. Confirmation of your team assignments will be made by email, so please be sure to include your correct email address.
Volunteer Information Meeting
Volunteer Information Meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 1, 7 pm at Perimeter Church in the Fellowship Hall. At that time you will meet your Team Leader, receive important instructions and information regarding your assignment, day-of check in procedures and parking. You will also pick-up your special ‘thank you' items. Volunteering is easy with online sign-up! Just click on the links below each area to choose your volunteer day(s) and time(s).
And as a special thank you every volunteer will receive:

Festival Production - Operations
Are you active and like to move around! This team is the heart of the festival and makes it all happen. All volunteers for this team must be 18 years of age or older.
• Parking – Assisting guests and artists as they enter and leave the Festival parking area.
• Set-up: Pre-Festival – Working with a small team to set up the festival grounds to be ready for booths. Heavy lifting required.
• Set-up: Food Tent – Saturday Morning set up of the food area for the festival.
• Field Marshal – Oversee an area of the festival.
• Golf Cart Driver – Driving a golf cart throughout the hours of operation as needs arise for supplies, moving Festival personnel and as needed.
• Stage Hand – Assist acts as they enter and exit the stage area.![]()
Volunteer Check-In
This is the first stop for all of our volunteers! Volunteers are the heart of this Festival. We need people to be on-hand to support them in this important role.
- Check in Volunteers for their tour of duty.
- Make sure all volunteers have Name Tags and T-Shirts.
- Hand out Thank You Bags.
- Insure that all volunteer positions are manned for each time slot.
Artists' Market Ambassadors
This is a great job for someone who likes to interact with people and a wonderful way to get to know the Artists. Being an Ambassador requires a significant amount of walking through the artist’s booth area and some light lifting, so an average degree of physical fitness is required.
• You will welcome artists to the Arts on the Creek Festival.
• Assist in the set up of artist booths as needed.
• Spot booths for artists when they need a break.
• Liaison for the artists as needs arise.![]()
Welcome Center
The first stop a festival guest may make will be to your booth. Do you like interacting with people and being of service? Then this team would be a good fit for you!
• Provide directions to guests and artists to different areas of the Festival
• Answer questions about Festival activities, schedules and participants
• Provide assistance to guests for: Lost & Found, Lost Children.
- Check in artists, vendors and sponsors during load-in
- Distribute artist, vendor and sponsor materials.
Children’s Town
Children’s Town is dedicated to engaging children with on the hour, interactive activities that include hands-on art projects, inflatable jumpers and slides, balloon twisting, face painting and much more. If you have a passion for helping young people express their inner artist and have some experience working with children, then join this team.
• Supervise children on inflatable jumpers and slides
• Ensure safe and fair play on all inflatable equipment.
• Rotate children through inflatables in a timely way.
• Assist with hands-on arts activities.![]()
Trash Crew
This special crew is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Festival zone as well as emptying the trash and recycling receptacles. This is a great opportunity for groups looking to help since it is a great team building activity and is a lot of fun. Some lifting and walking is required of crew members.![]()
